Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born the 18th of November 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix realized early on that she had an aptitude for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her initial tryout, she placed in second place in the 200 meters at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003, signed an agreement with Adidas. After that, she was accepted into an institution called the University of Southern California and pursued a degree in elementary education. Felix's first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for the 200m race in 22.18 secs. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her become the shortest woman ever to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. In 2007, she won that title, beating her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at the Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo consistently placing within the top three in all her competitions.
