Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born on the 18th of November 1985 in Los Angeles. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley and the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was apparent from the time she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After her first audition she was ranked among the top two athletes at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200 meters in just 10 weeks. Felix signed a contract for an official career at Adidas in 2003, and later enrolled in University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. Felix set an Junior World Record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 second. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. She defended the title by beating her Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance in London, Beijing Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She was consistently in the top three of the events.
